Photo Round-Up #1: Sunsets in Central America

The sunsets, along the Pacific Coast of Central America, are without a doubt simply breathtaking and gorgeous. The striking, yet serene colors of the sky, from light pink to a red-orange gradient, was mesmerizing. I spent many evenings sitting out on sandy beaches, on surfboards, or hill tops; and gazing off into the distant horizon. With some ron, cerveza, a Cuban cigar, and awesome friends, life couldn’t be better!

We love Bocas del Toro sunsets! Our Facebook fan page: http://www.facebook.com/IslaColonBocasdelToro always closes the day with a special sunset image (and starts the next day with a sunrise!). It’s difficult for Bocas del Toro to compete with Pacific side sunsets… But we are not so bad and its our sunrises that really are famous! Sitting on Main St. Isla Colon Bocas del Toro and watching the sunrise over Carenero/ Bastimentos island early morning?? PRICELESS! :) Check out our website for more details on Bocas del Toro: http://www.bocasdeltoro.travel and do check out our sunrises/sunsets on FB!

It makes sense that the Pacific side owns sunsets and Caribbean sides own sunrises. I would totally love to see sunrise, except I’m always too tired to wake up for them ;)

I definitely will return to Central America, and will make watching sunrise in Caribbean a priority. Cheers!

Harrison – great pictures. I love watching sunsets because it means I’m actually taking time to appreciate life… unfortunately, I don’t notice them enough though. If I had the views in these pictures, I definitely would!

Hi Dan, thanks for coming by. I love the reason why you like sunsets. Good way of putting it “appreciating life”. Beautiful skies definitely a good reason to be living life!
